During the second week of May, Asian stainless steel transaction prices decreased slightly, due to the falling of nickel prices which led the domestic transaction prices in China went down again, while lacking of demand was also one of the main factors of low sales.
Price of 304 cold rolled in Asia fell by US$20-30/ton compare with previous week. Therefore, China’s stainless steel mills to cut their domestic stainless steel prices in order to maintain market sales.
