Canada imposes AD duty on carbon steel welded pipe imports from Vietnam- The 20th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l tube & pipe Processing Equipment Exhibition

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) recently announced to impose an anti-dumping duty on carbon steel welded pipe imports from Vietnam.
The weighted average margin of dumping for Hoa Phat Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. was set at 4.9%; that for SeAH Steel Vina Corporation was at 3%; that for State Pipe and Supply Inc. was 26.1%; other exporters received a rate of 54.2%.
The investigation was based on the application filed by Novamerivan Steel Inc., which was begun on July 20th, 2018. The period of investigation was from July 1st, 2017 to June 30th, 2018.
The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will continue investigating whether the steel imports mentioned above caused damage to domestic industries, and the result of investigation will be announced on February 15th, 2019.
