According to the news, the United States Court of International Trade had asked the United States Department of Commerce (USDOC) to reevaluate the anti-dumping duties on South Korean welded line pipe, including from Hyundai Steel Co., one of the leading steelmakers in South Korea.
USDOC had announced the final ruling by around 22.70-29.89% for most of the imported welded line pipe from South Korea in July, and now it would have to revisit the duty rates within 90 days.
The main reason for the judgment was mainly because the USDOC failed to fulfill its statutory and regulatory responsibilities to ensure the adequacy of the domestic market as a basis for normal value.
