Vietnamese media reported that Malaysia has revised duties on imports of cold rolled coils of alloy and non alloy steel from Vietnam to 7.42-33.7% for the period between January 24 and May 23 of 2021 after Malaysian Ministry of International Trade and Industry concluded that there is a substantial change in the dumping margin under its Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties Act. Malaysia will impose a 7.42% duty on cold rolled steel manufacturer POSCO Vietnam’s products and 33.7% on the products of other steelmakers.
Malaysia initiated the anti-dumping investigation in July 2020 based on a petition by Mycron Steel CRC Sdn Bhd, a leading producer of cold-rolled coils.
