According to Indian JSW Steel''s statement, JSW Steel planned to spend nearly US$500 million to purchase the steel mills on Texas, the United State.
During the quarter ended December 31st this year, JSW Steel produced nearly 60,000 tons of steel plates, with the capacity utilization rate of 24%, and it also produced about 15,000 tons of steel tubes, with the capacity utilization rate of 11%.
From the agreement, Texas government would offer US$3.4 million to JSW Steel USA to set up a plant in Texas. Also, JSW Steel would spend US$150 million to upgrade the equipment for a Texas steel mill.
