Diversified miner Metals X has continued to consolidate its exposure to the gold space with the pouring of its first gold bar at the Central Murchison project in Western Australia.
The project’s Bluebird processing plant has now been fully commissioned with the pouring of an 11.76-kilogram gold dore bar predominantly from the production of gravity concentrates.
The plant is continuing to be optimised and is operating at an average throughput rate in excess of 200 tonnes per hour.
Central Murchison is expected to be a robust project, producing about 200,000 ounces per annum with an all-in sustaining cost of A$1,180 per ounce and an initial 13-year mine life.
