According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 50,800 tons of cold-rolled coils (CRC) in January this year, slightly increasing by nearly 1% compared to the previous month and also rising by 42% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Mexico accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 32,300 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 14.8% and a year-on-year hike of 43.7%. Canada ranked second with around 17,900 tons, and the exports to other countries were less than 1,000 tons.
During the period, the export value was around US$64 million, up by 1.9% month on month and soaring by 70.5% year on year.
