According to statistics from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US exported around 21,700 tons of rebar in March this year, rising by nearly 9% compared to the previous month and also hiking by 28% from the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 19,700 tons, a month-on-month increase of 34.4% and a year-on-year hike of 44.9%. The Dominican Republic ranked second with roughly 3,500 tons, followed by the Bahamas’ 1,000 tons, and the exports to other destinations were less than 1,000 tons.
During the reporting period, the export value totaled around US$22 million, up by 11.2% month on month and by 56.8% year on year.
